Electra’s rep denied reports at the time that that the former Baywatch babe was involved in a romantic relationship with ’80s rocker. “They are just friends,” the rep claimed. But reports persisted that the pair were involved in a steamy relationship.

One noted a bacstage make out session and claimjed that Carmen and Joan were reportedly getting hot and heavy at a concert last November, and they certainly were not trying to hide it.

The report claimed at the time that after Joan performed at the Music Box, the two were spotted backstage aggressively kissing, hugging, and touching. According to bystanders, the intensity between the pair translated to the real thing. The rep gave a great answer for this one. “Carmen was at the concert. She is a really big fan of Joan’s and I guess this was her way of thanking her for the front row seats.”
Now Star Magazine is reporting that the love affair is over. This week’s magazine notes that many believed that they made an unlikely couple from the start, and now it looks like the nine-month relationship is on ice. “Joan wants more than Carmen wants to give†a close friend of the girls tells Star, adding that former Playmate Carmen has refused to slow her schedule down and does not want to go public with their romance. Still, friends hope the two can work it out, because “they are truly in love.â€
