La Toya Jackson broke down in tears as she came face to face with Bubbles the chimp for the first time in 20 years. The 54-year-old singer travelled to Wauchula in Florida just two months ago to be reunited with the ape that once belonged to her younger brother Michael.

Crouching by Bubbles’ cage, she shared a tender moment with the animal and begged him to remember her.
“Bubbles, you know I miss you. I haven’t seen you in ages. Do you remember me? You’re looking like you do,†she whispered. “I want to kiss you and I want to hug you, but I know I can’t because you’re so big.â€
Losing her composure and sobbing, she added: “I think you remember me, don’t you?†Bubbles went everywhere with Michael Jackson in the 1980s and lived in the family home like an extra member of the Jackson clan.
But he eventually became too big to live in a human environment and was taken back by his trainers. The ape, who is now 26 and weighs almost 200lbs, is currently living at the Center For Great Apes – a sanctuary for apes that have been dumped by showbusiness.
