The Apple iPhone5 was a central part of T-Mobile's new 'no contract' way of doing business for smartphones announced just last week and now the company may soon have a new product to sell from Apple, rumors say the iPhone5 S could be introduced this summer.
The iPhone 5 was announced on Sept. 12, 2012 and industry analysts say the next iPhone will be announced earlier in the year this time around, the expected launch for the new iPhone5 is June 2013.
What to expect?
What will the new phone be adding to entice new buyers?
According to CNET, the unit is described as being "similar in size and shape" to Apple's current iPhone, but it will add speed and some nifty new software.
Other speculation is that the iPhone 5S will only have incremental upgrades – faster processor, better software and better camera.
CBS reveals KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the new iPhone5 will have a new A7 chip, a better camera and LED technology called "Smart Flash."
Cheaper iPhone on the way this year, too?
Another rumored move from analysts will come in the September quarter when the launch of the much-rumored low-cost iPhone comes in from Apple.
Reports and rumors claim the low-cost iPhone will be announced in August or September and be priced substantially lower than what consumers are now paying for the iPhone 5.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster predicts the unlocked price of a low-cost iPhone will start at about $250 in the US.
USA Today reveals that unit would likely use a different casing from the current iPhone line.
