Peyton Manning's wife is the former Ashley Thompson, and the couple have two children.
They are twins and right now are in the middle of the "terrible twos", daughter Mosley and son Marshall are 2 1/2 years old and Peyton has mentioned they provide an inspiration for success for the newly named NFL MVP.
Just over two years ago – some believed that Peyton had played his final down in the National Football League, he was injured an needed surgery on his neck just to have the opportunity to try and get under center again.
The rest is history – the surgery was successful, Manning (who was cut by his long-time team the Indianapolis Colts) signed with the Denver Broncos of the AFC West and he has been their starting quarterback for the last two seasons.
Last year, the Broncos were quickly eliminated in the playoffs.
This year, the team has been dominant with Manning at the helm and they are in the Super Bowl today, Sunday February 2, 2014.
Peyton may not have even made the move had Ashley not assisted in pushing him that way.
Broncos fans have been grateful since and Manning spoke a little bit about his family during the week leading up to today's big game in New Jersey.
"My entire family keeps me positive and they always support me," says the Denver Broncos signal caller.
"They will be coming to town to be with me. Without them, I would not be where I am today. I am very grateful."
Manning calls the twins and his wife his good luck charms and they will be on hand if he raises the Vince Lombardi trophy after the game.
