Can Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Gov. Gary Johnson Be More Than a Spoiler?

July 14, 2016 By Jim Roberts

Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Gov. Gary Johnson has Gov. Bill Weld as his running mate for the 2016 race for the White House.

Gary Johnson is already at double digit support in many polls and with historically low numbers for Democrat presumptive nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton's trustworthiness and Republican presumptive nominee Donald J. Trump's overall capabilities, some hope there is a window of opportunity for Johnson.

While President Barack Obama claimed last week that Clinton is 'the most qualified candidate' it's an easy argument to make that the Libertarian Party has the two most qualified candidates in this odd 2016 presidential race.

Check out this lengthy interview transcript from The Washington Post editorial board’s meeting with Gary Johnson and William Weld to get a taste of what they believe America should become under their administration.

Watch the video below to see one of their campaign ads.

Can Johnson be more than a spoiler?

The key will be if he is included in the debates, if so he might come across as the most capable candidate when compared to Clinton and Trump.
