In a 2008 'smear photo' that was blamed on the Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign, then US Sen. Barack Obama was dressed as a Somali elder, complete with a head covering.
The picture showing Obama in a turban during was snapped during a visit to Kenya in 2006.
Many voters at the time believed that Mr. Obama was a Muslim and was not being truthful in saying that he was a Christian and the Obama campaign blamed the Clinton campaign for the picture and spreading that false accusation.
According to The Guardian, (see the first smear photo at the link) the Obama campaign had to enlist "Scott Gration, a retired air force general and Obama supporter, who was with the senator in Kenya, to explain the picture."
He said: "Senator Obama was given an outfit and as the guest that he was, the great guest, he took this outfit and they encouraged him to try some of it on. It was a thing we all do."
Flash forward to 2016 where Obama is now a lame duck president, ready to retire in January of 2017.
He is still facing the same type of criticism, this time from Fox News host Bill O'Reilly.
Watch the video below.
The UK Daily Mail reveals Bill O'Reilly shared photos of Barack Obama in what they are calling "traditional Islamic dress" on his program Wednesday night claiming they were from his half-brother Malik's wedding.
The Fox News host said the pictures prove President Obama has 'deep emotional ties to Islam'.
O'Reilly also said of Obama after sharing the photos: 'I believe he's a Christian. I'm not one of these guys who says he's a Muslim. But I don't think he's a devout Christian.'
O'Reilly then claimed that this has 'hurt the USA' because Obama has failed to combat ISIS which he calls the 'Obama administration's greatest failure'.
