Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Nessa Diab Questioned After Anti Flag Stance by SF 49ers QB

August 30, 2016 By Jessica Warren

Questions have arisen if Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend Nessa Diab is behind the San Francisco 49ers QB decision to not stand during the playing of the National Anthem before the start of his NFL game each week.

Nessa Diab is an MTV personality who is dating Colin Kaepernick and the reporter and host moved between the Middle East and Southern California during the Gulf War and it impacted her life.

“Here is the thing, I was a young girl fearing for my life-I wore gas masks to school,” Nessa said of being present during the Gulf War in an earlier interview.

“I heard war sirens constantly and I knew at this point I had to break out of this lifestyle.”

Now some are questioning if she has influenced the QB's newfound activism.

A headline from Daily Caller reads this way:

"Kaepernick’s Communist-Sympathizing Muslim Girlfriend Believed To Be Behind Protest"

That's pretty blunt, is it true?

The story cites sports blogger TerezOwens.Com and the site keeps a watchful eye on Kaepernick's Twitter feed and has noticed a pattern of pro Muslim posts.

Terez writes:

'We’re now hearing that it was actually his girlfriend Nessa’s idea for Colin to protest. Colin and his girlfriend, Nessa Diab, an MTV DJ, are still planning an Islamic-style wedding.”

Check out a post here for the sports gossip's website's information on some of Colin's tweets.

It was earlier revealed that CK is a Christian – in fact Kaepernick has two Christian Bible verses tattooed on his arms.

The verses include Psalm 27:3, which says, "Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident."

Another is Psalm 18:39, which reads, "You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me."

Kaepernick explained his tattoos at the time to sports reporter and former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner:

"My first tattoo was a scroll on my right arm, Psalm 18:39…It's just my way of showing everybody that this is what I believe in."

Will the Kaepernick controversy soon die or will the San Francisco 49ers have to deal with this every week?
