The Denver Broncos quarterback position is still cloudy after two pre-season games.
Should the possibility that continuing determine where (or if) you draft CJ Anderson, Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in your fantasy football draft for 2016?
The Broncos starting QB is still undecided after two pre-season games and now the fear is that may drag into the regular season.
Trevor Siemian, Mark Sanchez and rookie Paxton Lynch are the three QB's competing for the starting job in Denver and have all struggled with turnovers and none of the three have impressed.
“You just never know,” running back C.J. Anderson said, according to the Denver Post.
“It might be one (QB) for 16 (games). It might be all three for 16. We don’t know what it is. I know we have to do our job a lot better to help those three, no matter who it is.”
Head coach Gary Kubiak would love for a starter to emerge, but he realizes it has yet to happen.
“I’m going to play the guy that I think is best for our team. We have three guys out there battling,” Kubiak said.
“We evaluate them just like we evaluate every other player. You go out and run plays… At the end of the day, it’s your job to protect the ball. That’s the most important thing. That’s something that coming out of (Saturday) wasn’t good enough.”
If the QB play is poor, the Broncos RB's may see more carries, short passes and screens meaning if CJ Anderson can remain healthy and deliver, his fantasy football stock would go up.
Devontae Booker, is CJ Anderson's back up and the rookie my be featured in the short passing game, something the Broncos may have to use more often than desired due to the possibility of lackluster QB play.
He's a definite handcuff if you depend on CJ Anderson for this year's fantasy team as Ronnie Hillman has tumbled down the depth chart and there are concerns he may be cut from the team and released.
Demaryius Thomas' ADP is number 31 overall and Emmanuel Sanders ADP is number 65 overall according to FantasyPros, does their fantasy stock lose a little luster due to mediocre performances from the QB position?
The Broncos are the defending National Football League champions and open against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 8.
