The Cincinnati Bengals host the Miami Dolphins on NFL's Thursday Night Football game for week 4 and fantasy football owners holding the team's top 2 RBs (Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard) want to know – start 'em or sit 'em?
Let's start with the Bengals workhorse running back Jeremy Hill.
He broke through with a huge game against a stout Denver Broncos defense in week three at home, scoring two touchdowns and finishing with 97 yards on 17 carries.
Hill is rarely involved with the Cincinnati passing game, though, the back had zero catches in week three and has only three catches on the overall 2016 season and no TDs through the air.
But he does have 3 TD carries through 3 games.
Hill is a must start in PPR leagues as well as standard league scoring as an RB2 with upside.
The Bengals change of pace running back Giovani Bernard is a great receiver, he already has 16 catches on 20 targets this season and the Dolphins are not very good at covering RBs out of the backfield, setting up a possible big game for Gio and his fantasy football owners.
Consider Bernard a possible a bottom Flex play in PPR leagues, especially considering the Dolphins pass defense against RBs.
In standard leagues, fantasy football owners who may have a lot of injuries and/or bye week players, and are forced to look at Gio as an option, can expect a hit or miss week for Bernard, but he does have some decent possible upside.
It would be best to sit Bernard in standard leagues, but the Bengals should score a fair amount of points at home, so a touchdown or two is always a possibility and the pass catching RB already has one 100 yard game through the air.
But, there are better options at the Flex position in standard league fantasy football scoring.
