Fantasy football outlook for week 3 – Injuries are in play for running backs Chris Ivory and Rashad Jennings.
The Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory has yet to play a down this NFL season, but has returned to practice in a limited role.
The Jags need Ivory's production (T.J. Yeldon has been under whelming at running the ball so far this season), but Ivory has been out with an undisclosed medical condition that left him hospitalized earlier.
The team has been keeping Ivory's medical condition private and out of the public eye, but if whatever has kept Ivory sidelined for the last two weeks has healed and the bruising RB is 100 percent and plays, he could be considered a low end RB2 option.
The Jags play the Baltimore Ravens at home on Sunday September 25, 2016.
New York Giants starting RB Rashad Jennings injured his thumb during week 2, and was spotted wearing a cast on his left hand after the game, but says he will be ready to go on Sunday.
"That's a part of football. You got to battle through little things and even big things sometimes," he said. It's just part of the game. … I plan on practicing tomorrow. Going out there and running, going through the normal stuff."
Jennings rushed for just 27 yards on 13 carries against the Saints after opening the season with 75 yards on 18 carries in a Week 1 win over the Cowboys.
Consider him an RB2 on Sunday if he is ready to play.
The Giants play the Washington Redskins on Sunday at 1:00 pm EDT.
